Triple Chocolate Mason Jar Pancakes

One of the things I love the most is chocolate pancakes. There’s something incredibly indulging about them, so I always find myself craving a fresh batch of them, but honestly who has time to whip up pancakes each and every day? Not me and definitely not when the hectic back to school season is back. So after giving it some thought, I decided to give it a go and made some Triple Chocolate Mason Jar Pancakes.

And friends this was it, seriously this is one of the best pancake recipes I’ve ever made and was actually made in a jar, like mixed, stored and cooked in a mason jar! If that’s not one the best things on the planet, then I don’t know what can be.

First, let’s talk about the flavor. This is for chocoholics that love chocolate chips and all things chocolaty. Really this is chock full of flavor so even tho this is a breakfast this is one of those things that tastes like dessert, which is pretty cool in my opinion.

To get all the chocolate explosion and deliciousness into the jar, we are adding chocolate in a couple of ways, chocolate syrup, chocolate chips and some cocoa powder. However, if you want to take things to the next chocolate level you can also add some chocolate spread to the batter before baking (I’ve done it with and without and both are just as good!).

And then it’s the jar factor. You can whip up everything in each jar (especially handy if you hate cleaning dishes or if you are cooking small batches) and then just take to the oven or microwave.

Yes, you can totally microwave this and it ends up as moist and fluffy as the baked one. So yeah, these Triple Chocolate Mason Jar Pancakes are the best thing on the planet.

1/2 Cup flour
1 Egg
1/2 Cup milk
2 Tbsps sugar
1/8 Cup cocoa powder
1/8 Cup chocolate chips
2 Tbsps chocolate syrup
1 Tsp baking powder

Grease a mason jar. Add the flour, sugar cocoa powder, and baking powder, and mix.
Add the eggs and milk, and mix until everything is well incorporated.
Mix in the chocolate syrup and the chocolate chips and take to the oven or microwave.
Cook until done. Serve and enjoy.

Note: If baking bake at 350 degrees in a water bath for around 15 to 20 minutes.
