Maple Bourbon Slow Cooker Chicken Three Ingredient Recipe

Y’all…if you love bourbon (and even if you don’t) you are in for a sweet treat with this 3 ingredient Maple Bourbon Slow Cooker Chicken recipe..it is the easiest and tastiest recipe! All you need is chicken breast, BBQ Sauce & Bird Dog Maple Whiskey.



  • Boneless chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup BirdDog Maple Whiskey
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray’s)


Cooking Instructions:

  1. Add 1/2 cup BirdDog Maple Whiskey to the bottom of the slow cooker
  2. Add chicken breast
  3. Dump BBQ Sauce over Chicken Breast
  4. Cook on low 6 hours


Once the chicken was cooked. I tossed it in a little more bbq sauce and put them on some mini rolls..they were a hit with my husband! :)

    Hi, this looks amazing, I dont want to use whiskey, is there non-alcoholic replacement? Can I use just maple syrup ? or honey? How much chicken breast you used in this recipe? Thanks

    Could I use pork instead to make pulled pork? What would you recommend?

    I browned the drumsticks in vegetable oil first and set them aside until the last ten minutes of the simmer stage. No bad odor and no scum to skim. Very tender and not too sweet. I added extra garlic, used that rooster hot chile sauce, and topped with toasted sesame seeds and some green onions. I served with white rice and some garlicky broccoli. I will make this again.
