Try Something New Tuesday – Cheeseburger Egg Rolls Recipe

Just when you thought cheeseburgers couldn’t get any tastier….you find this blog post..and I’m about to drop some serious cheesy goodness into your lap right about now! Cheeseburger Egg Rolls. I originally saw this recipe and knew I needed to try mix it up sans bacon..because I hate bacon! :) Think about it…the best part of the cheeseburger…meat..ketchup..onions…mustard…rolled up and egg roll wrapper and deep fried. WIN!

  • 1 lb Hamburger
  • 1/2 c. Ketchup
  • 1/3 c. Dijon Mustard
  • 1 medium Onion
  • Egg Roll Wrappers
  • Minced Garlic
  • Shredded Cheese (I used Mexican)

    1. Chop and dice onions
    2. Saute onions and minced garlic in pan
    3. Add hamburger and cook until brown
    4. Drain oil from burger mixture and add ketchup & mustard. (You can add relish too, I’m not a huge fan so I left it out)

  1. Take a pinch of shredded cheese and lay flat on egg roll wrapper
  2. Add a tablespoon or two of the hamburger mixture
  3. Roll up the egg roll, using a dab of water to seal the seam and crimp the ends
  4. Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown

You will be tempted to eat these immediately…and they will burn your tongue like the devil! Don’t do it. I found if you let them sit around for a few minutes (10min) they are much easier to eat and wayyy more delicious!
